Ogun State Government has begun the reconstruction of a culvert linking lfedayo Community, Olomore to Opeoluwa Ita-Oshin in Abeokuta North Local Government, to ease human and vehicular movement in the area.
While speaking during an inspection to the project site, the Director of Rural Roads, Engr. Wasiu Adelaja said the reconstruction work was approved by the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, to be carried out by the department of Rural Roads in Ministry of Rural Development, adding that it would be completed in two-month time.
Engr. Adelaja who stated that the culvert would be 3 meters wide, assured that it would be of quality standard, saying ‘’the culvert when completed will serve as access road to Olomore and other communities in the area, to improve their socio-economic activities’’.
While appreciating the State government for embarking on the project, some residents in the benefiting communities, Mr. Ifedayo Ajibola and Alhaja Fatimo Kashamadupe said construction of the culvert would give relief to the people.
