Ogun State Government has frowned against illegal erection of commercial and residential buildings on the right of ways, drainage channels and culverts in the State, warning that perpetrators of such inimical acts risk demolition of such properties.
Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, TPL Tunji Odunlami stated this while reacting to the demolition of a commercial structure built on concrete drain and culvert within the setback along Lafenwa-Ayetoro road in Abeokuta, affirming that government would not tolerate insensitive act that could endanger lives and property of citizens.
Tpl Odunlami said government was determined to follow the physical planning law of the State, noting that the property owners in the affected area who have been served with contravention notice, should stop further construction, reiterating the commitment of the present administration to safety of lives and property of every resident.
