The Ogun State Government has said that its move to construct several kilometers of roads across the State, was borne out of the desire to stimulate economic activities, secure and create a safe environment for business to thrive, as well as improve the quality of life of the people.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Akeem Adesina stated this, while speaking on a television public enlightenment programme in Abeokuta, to showcase achievements of Prince Dapo Abiodun led Government in the last two years.
Adesina revealed that in the last one year, investors had shown interest to put up their businesses, to further enhance economic growth and provide employment for the teeming youths, adding that Ogun is leveraging on industrial out flow from Lagos State to boost its economy.
The Special Adviser, noted that some of the newly constructed and other ongoing roads have reduced the burden of motorists and residents, hence, increasing individual prosperity and expansion of businesses across the three Senatorial Districts.
Adesina restated Prince Dapo Abiodun's commitment to continuous rehabilitation and maintenance of roads, as well as provision of social service to the people, would create smooth vehicular movement, calling for more Public Private Participation.
