  BLS APPRECIATES STAFF, CHARGES THEM TO DO MORE

The Bureau of Lands and Survey will continue to appreciate its members of staff who perform brilliantly and record landmark achievements in their various endeavours to further encourage them to do more.

The Special Adviser/Director-General, in the Bureau, Mr. Aina Salami who dropped this hint in Abeokuta during a get-together to honour some staff of the Bureau who have attained greater heights, noted that the significance of appreciation could not be over-emphasised.

The honorees include Otunba Jubril Lukan, the first Director Land Services in the Bureau who has been appointed a Permanent Secretary, the Director, Land Services, ESV Fatai Adeboyejo who got a fellowship of Estate Surveyor and Valuer, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Land (Valuation), Dr. Afeez Alabi, who bagged a Doctor of Philosophy.

The Special Adviser described the honorees as diligent and dedicated officers who have made meaningful contributions to the growth of the Bureau, and reaffirmed the commitment of the present government to the welfare of the workforce, urging others to work in unity, so as to increase the productivity of the Bureau.

 “Appreciating the achievement of one another who are related to us in a family kind of way goes a long way and make them feel elated being part of their success story”, Salami said.

Also in their remarks, the State Surveyor-General, Dr. Ken Salem Onosesen and the Director, Land Management, Mr. Adedeji Adewale described the honorees as members of staff with large heart who are hardworking, knowledgeable and ready to take up any task, maintaining that it was an honour well deserved.

In their responses, the honorees thanked the Special Adviser and his team for celebrating them, noting that their achievements was a result of the cooperation they enjoyed from other members of staff, commending Salami for his thoughtfulness, managerial skill, support and encouragement which have spurred the staff to have a sense of belonging.
