  UPDATE YOUR FINANCIAL RECORDS, OGHA TASKS LGs

The Ogun State House of Assembly through its Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs has challenged administrative heads of Local Governments, especially accounting officers to step up measures at ensuring an up-to-date financial records of their revenue and expenditure.

The Committee Chairman, Hon. Bolanle Ajayi, threw the challenge in Oke- Mosan Abeokuta, during the budget assessment on Local Government councils, directing that the management teams of Yewa South and Ogun Waterside Local Government Areas, should re-present the records of their budget performance to capture and reflect all budget heads, especially revenue and recurrent expenditure between January and June, 2021.

The House Committee, while appraising the budget performance of Ado-Odo/Ota, Yewa South, Ogun Waterside and Imeko/Afon Local Government Areas as presented by their respective Heads of Local Government Administration (HOLGA), implored them to always give priority to the core needs of the people, especially health services.

          Ajayi in company of other lawmakers including Abdulbashir Oladunjoye, Ganiyu Oyedeji, Damilola Soneye, Sikiratu Ajibola, Solomon Osho, Yusuf Adejojo charged the councils to complement the State government development programmes at the grassroot level.

Earlier in their respective presentations, the HOLGA of Ado-Odo/Ota, Dr. Daniel Adesanya and his counterpart from Imeko/Afon, Mr. Badejoko Taiwo highlighted the projects executed by their councils for the benefit of residents.
