Ajiroba of Lagos, Rasheed Williams is dead, Sanwo-Olu reacts
Williams died Monday morning and was buried in the afternoon in line with Islamic injunction.
Williams, a renowned socialite, was a member of Metropolitan Club, Yoruba Tennis Club and Eko Club, where he was the first president.
Governor Sanwo-Olu, in a statement, said the deceased lived a good life and served humanity.
Sanwo-Olu recalled how Williams combined work and social life in a way that impacted the state and the nation positively.
He said Willams served Lagos meritoriously as a member of the Constituent Assembly, representing the Lagos lsland Local Government.
“He also contributed his quota to the growth and development of Lagos in different capacities”, Sanwo-Olu noted.
The governor said the fifth Ajiroba of Lagos also distinguished himself in private practice as an administrator and insurance expert.
He sent condolences to the family, friends and associates of Williams and prayed for his soul to find peace with God.
