GTB goes tough on unvaccinated staff, to give half salary from October

Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) has made it mandatory for all members of staff of the organization to be vaccinated on or before Thursday, September 30, 2021.

In a memo tagged “Deadline for Covid-19 vaccination”, issued by the Operational Risk Management Team, on Monday, September 13, it was stated that the administration of the 1st dose of Moderna for unvaccinated persons, and the 2nd dose of AstraZeneca for those who have received their 1st doses is still ongoing nationwide.

Further that all staff have been mandated to ensure they receive their vaccines in their various locations, on or before the due date.

The Ajose Adeogun office where the letter emanated from however stated that starting from October 2021, any GTB staff that fails to comply will no longer be allowed into the bank’s premises and may be placed on half salary.
