Why Ogun state residents should be Scared, after armed robbers send messages ahead of their attack
Residents of Olosan community in Leme, Abeokuta, in Ogun state are currently living in anxiety, after they received letters from robbers, informing them of their planned attacked in the community.
It was reported that the gang known as "Oga Oga" pasted the notes on the walls around the community.
They gave a stern warning why they should not inform the police, if not, they would face the consequences. They also threatened to kill any resident who fail to keep money for them, in preparation for their impending robbery
The residents have since then been living in panic since the notice, some now return home really early and lock their doors as early as 8p.m.
The community have now engaged a vigilante group to patrol at night, while some hired guards to safeguard their homes and properties. The police have also been informed and they usually patrol at night.
For this robbers to announce that they are coming to rob, it means that when eventually come, they would come very prepared even for the police. They have proven that they are not even scared of the police. It even worse that they did not announce the day they were coming, which means that they may decide to come when the police or vigilante are not on duty.
Though the residents did well by launching a vigilante group, to patrol at night, this might not provide a permanent solution, because these Vigilantes may not posses sophisticated weapons to withstand the robbers, and the police can not provide a 100% Security.
The best solution to prepare themselves for the impending attack, and pray they do not fall victims
