Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government constitutes 40% TB cases detected in Ogun State Out of 10,000 cases tested in 2021 , giving the  total cases detected as 983 cases .

Ado-Odo/Ota LG Senior TBL program manager, Mr Femi Ige dropped this hint recently while commemorating  the 2022 world TB day,  "Theme  invest to end TB saves lives" at the secretariat in Ota.

According to him, the Drug resistance cases of TB also persistent in the LGA, while high number cases were still hidden undetectable due to ignorance , inadequate awareness and coverage.

Ige lamented that despite the test and drugs are free the donor support is restricted and meagre lauding the management of Ado odo ota  local government for the unflinching support.

He further calls on philanthropists whithin the LGA in particular  and country in general to come to our aid in the area of funding and support.

The TBL program manager added that this year program has been so successful due to strategy adopted through  School sensitization which occasioned screening in 5 selected schools,community outreach and market sensitization.

He  enjoined  partners in progress to be part in the Local Government Area by investing in order to  get more results which in no doubt will improve the health status of our people.
