Gunmen demand N50m ransom for abducted Plateau CAN chair
Abductors of chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Jos East Local Government Area of Plateau State, Rev James Angware, has demanded N50m ransom for his release.
The Catholic priest of St Anthony’s Parish was kidnapped on sunday at Angware community.
The gunmen invaded his residence, shooting sporadically before making away with him.
A source close to the abducted cleric confirmed the gunmen have made contact and demanded N50m for his release.
Plateau Police spokesman Alabo Alfred said the Command was aware of the incident.
“Our men are already working to ensure that the Reverend Father regains his freedom, and apprehend those behind the abduction,” he said.
