Amidst the insecurity problems in Nigeria, some unknown gunmen on a motorcycle shot dead Rabiu Tajudeen, a top official of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Osun State on Friday.
It was also gathered that Rabiu Tajudeen's daughter was also hit by a bullet during the attack.
It was reported that Tajudeen was said to be an official of the Lagos Park Branch of the NURTW in Osogbo, Osun State, and most of the time, he was usually seen in company with the chairman of the Oroki Branch of the union, Kazeem Oyewale.
An eyewitness stated that Tajudeen was shot dead in front of his wife's shop, which was located around Ilesha Garage, by some unknown gunmen who tracked him to the area.
The eyewitness, who pleaded anonymity, also owned a shop in the area of the crime scene and said he was at the roadside buying some soup ingredients when some men arrived on a motorcycle and shot Tajudeen at close range, which caused him to die on the spot.
