How Man Injected His Friend With A Toxic Substance, Dumped His Corpse & Fled With His Car - Police

A 36-year-old man identified as Abbas Adio has landed himself in trouble after he was nabbed by officials of the Osun State Police Command for the murder of a taxi driver and armed robbery.

While speaking to newsmen, Yemisi Opalola, the command spokesperson, said that the suspect claimed to be a physician in one of the state-owned hospitals in Kwara State.

Further speaking on how the killer doctor perpetrated the heinous crime, Opalola said that the suspect met the cab driver, whom she identified as Emmanuel Oyiobo, sometime ago when he travelled from Kwara State to Benin City, during which he contracted the driver to drive him around the city for the number of days he spent there.

She added that after their contract elapsed, the duo became friends, exchanged numbers, and were communicating afterwards. In her words, the police spokesperson said that "the suspect communicated to his friend (victim) in Benin that he wanted to sell his car, and they agreed that the suspect should bring the car to Benin, where it was sold for one million, four hundred thousand naira only (N1.4m)".

Opalola stated that while the suspect was staying in Benin City after the business deal, he injected his friend with a toxic substance, which was believed to have killed him. She also noted that the killer doctor dumped his friend's corpse in the bush and fled with his car.
