Nigerian Anti-Trafficking Agency, Nap Tip Rescues Nine Women In Kano On Way To Libya
The Nigerian anti-human trafficking agency, the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking In Persons and other related matters (NAPTIP) intercepted the women being smuggled to Libya from Kano State.
Security operatives in Kano State have intercepted nine women being smuggled out from the northern part of Nigeria to Libya.

The victims who were between the age of 19 and 55 were from southern Nigeria, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.
The Zonal Coordinator of NAPTIP in Kano, Abdullahi Babale, who disclosed on Tuesday, said the victims were rescued in collaboration with the Nigerian police.
Babale, however, stated that two suspected human traffickers had been arrested in connection to the case.He said the victims were heading for Libya, for labour exploitation when they were rescued.
The NAPTIP Zonal Coordinator, however noted that the suspects would be arraigned in court, while the victims would undergo rehabilitation before being reunited with their respective families.
