Gov., Abiodun, DG Of DSS Charged To Help Stop Illegal Detentions By Ogun AG, DSS

Gov., Abiodun, DG Of DSS Charged To Help Stop Illegal Detentions By Ogun AG, DSS

Chief Taofeek Adisa (a.k.a ILU), of Odunsayin Royal Family, owners and occupiers of Itusi Baba Ode Land, near Ilogbo - Ashowo, Via Ota, Ogun State, on behalf of the family and innocent occupiers of the said land, appeal to Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Executive Governor of the State and Yusuf Magaji, DG of the DSS Yusuf to intervene and stop what they described as abuse of power  and intimidation by notorious land grabbers, Ogun State Attorney General and the State's DSS Command.

Chief Adisa, made this appeal on Sunday while speaking with some Journalists at Ota. He passionately asked the Ogun State Governor and the DG of DSS who he referred to as responsible fathers and genuine leaders to dispassionately wade into the matter by calling all the parties involved to ascertain the truth and judge accordingly rather than the biased approach deployed by the Ogun Attorney General and the DSS Command in the State.

He said, "My men and members of the family, innocent occupiers of the land are constantly hounded, illegally arrested, detained and trump up charges hung on their necks all in a bid to detain or scare them away from the land by members of the DSS."

Chief Adisa further said, "One of the buyers of the land and legal resident of Itusi Land, Saheed Dada, was kidnapped from his house around 1am on Thursday 20, October 2022.

"According to the account of his wife. The family suddenly heard a barge on their door. Their door was opened with force and a troupe of gunmen came in with their face covered. One of them was not with gun. He tried to go out but the one that wasn’t with gun among them pushed him back inside and took his phone and held him to come along with him, he shouted, asking where was he been taken to, but the unknown officer asked him to calm down that they are not lawbreakers.”

The Itusi Royal Family is calling out and pleading with DSS officers to return Saheed Dada.

According to him, "The family who are the owners of the land has obtained three judgment in their favour over the land as follows; the Ogun State Customary Court, Ota Grade 1, in year 2010 which was delivered by His Honour Mrs. M.O. Oguntola.

Secondly, the other family appealed the judgment of the customary court and appealed to the High Court, before Justice Mobolaji A. Ojo, who upheld the earlier decision of the customary.

The third judgement in their favour was obtained from Hon. Justice N.J. Agbelu affirming the land belongs to the Odunsanyin Family.

"But in contempt of the court rulings the land grabbers kept attacking our family." Chief Adisa said.

"On January 4, 2022, the family has to petition the Inspector General of Police and the Commissioner of Police Ogun State, citing these attacks from the land grabbers whose names and identities are mentioned in the various Petitions written to various authorities.

"Another petition was written on January 14, to the Senate President in Abuja  to save their lives which was constantly being by the land grabbers.

"Another petition was forwarded on December 16, 2021 to the
Director of Citizens Right, Ministry of Justice, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, expressing the same unfortunate attacks on the family, its members, friends and poor land buyers." Chief Adisa emphasised.

Chief Adisa therefore called on the Governor, the Director General of the DSS, Attorney General of the Federation and other well meaning Nigerians to intervene to save his life, family, dwellers of Itusi Baba Ode land from the evil machinations of the land grabbers and to call to order the Ogun State Attorney General and the Ogun State Command of the DSS.
