Apostle Chinyere Settles Bill, Recover Baby Seized By Private Hospital

The Founder/ General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry (OPM), Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, has paid medical bill of the baby seized by a private Maternity at Ikoku in Diobu, Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital.

The man of God also recovered the baby from the management of the said Maternity when it refused to return the baby to the mother, Miss Patience Ekenam James, after payment was made.

Apostle Chinyere got to know about the development when his ADC, Inspector Onoen Okoi, went to Ikoku to fix his car and a young homeless lady, Miss Patience Ekenam James approached him crying that her baby had been taken from her.

Inspector Okoi followed Miss James to the hospital, only to discover that it is a private maternity.

The Apostle narrated the incident, saying, “My ADC confronted the owner of the Maternity demanding the release of the child to her mother. But the owner of the Maternity said the girl delivered in her maternity and was billed N15,000 which she was unable to pay.

“As a result, the baby was seized from her pending when she is able to pay the amount owed the Maternity. So my ADC put a call through to me and I transferred the N15,000 so the baby could be released.”

After payment by Apostle Chinyere, the owner of the maternity could not provide the baby but said the baby was gone and that she could not get the child back.

Chinyere continued: “For two hours my ADC begged the maternity owner but she refused to produce the baby.

“But when my ADC identified himself as a police officer and mentioned that he would be going to the nearest police station to invite his fellow policemen to intervene in the matter, that was when the Maternity owner became afraid and started making calls. Eventually, the baby was brought back.”

Apostle Chinyere has since moved the mother and child to the OPM Rehabilitation Center where homeless and street girls are rehabilitated and then taught different skills and businesses.

Recall that this have been a regular occurrence with Apostle Chinyere. Usually, when he intervenes with these street or homeless girls, he rehabilitates them. After rehabilitation, he establishes business for the ones that want to do business and enroll those who want to continue their education in school.

Also recall that Apostle Chinyere has built two free, functional and well equipped specialist hospitals in Ohanku Ndoki Ukwa Local Government Area of Abia State and Aluu in Port Harcourt to provide free medical services for pregnant women who cannot access government hospitals because of lack of money.

Registration, drugs, scan, Ceasarean Section (CS), ante natal and delivery kits are provided free at these hospitals.

Apostle Chinyere have contributed immensely to the reduction in the high rate of maternal mortality in Nigeria through OPM Free Specialist Hospitals.
