OPAY DIGITAL SERVICES LIMITED PARTNERS WITH DOLLY CHILDREN FOUNDATION TO DRIVE SOCIAL IMPACT

On this day, 28th of October 2024, DOLLY CHILDREN FOUNDATION (DCF) is pleased to announce a new partnership with OPAY DIGITAL SERVICES LIMITED (OPay), a leading provider of digital financial solutions, to launch the “OPay Back-to-School Project.” This initiative is dedicated to providing essential educational resources and mentorship support to 1,000 children attending three community schools in Dopemu and Agege, Lagos State.

The OPay Back-to-School Project aims to enhance educational access for underserved children by providing critical school materials, teaching aids, and interactive mentorship sessions. By equipping these pupils with essential resources and skills, the project aspires to promote academic success and foster a sustainable, supportive learning environment for children who may face significant barriers to education.

OPay, a CBN-licensed mobile money platform, is recognized for its dedication to financial inclusion and economic empowerment through accessible services like payments, transfers, savings, and loans. This collaboration underscores OPay’s commitment to supporting educational advancement and community development for Nigerian children and youth.

Together, OPay Digital Services Limited and Dolly Children Foundation are working to bridge the educational gap by providing quality education, essential skills, and community support for underserved children. This partnership aims to reduce the rate of out-of-school children, raise awareness of the importance of education, and equip marginalized children with the skills they need to build self-sustaining futures. Our shared goal is to transform lives by fostering a generation of confident, capable, and empowered young individuals.

The OPay Back-to-School Project will engage pupils in interactive, growth-oriented activities designed to inspire learning, boost self-confidence, and cultivate a culture of academic excellence. Through this collaboration, Dolly Children Foundation and OPay are making tangible strides to reduce the rate of out-of-school children in Nigeria, offering hope and opportunity to the next generation.

Since its inception, Dolly Children Foundation has positively impacted over 25,000 children across 29 low-income communities with a dedicated team and targeted education-focused programmes. The Foundation’s initiatives combat illiteracy and dropout rates by creating equal educational opportunities for children in underserved areas across Nigeria. Through these programmes, the Foundation provides scholarships, resources, mentorship, life skills, and support to empower children both academically and socially.
