Governor Sanwo-Olu Hosts State Town Hall Meeting On Security
The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is set to host the 18th Annual Lagos State Town Hall meeting on security.
The state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, disclosed this in a Wednesday statement, stating that the event is “a major summit for stakeholders in the (security) sector.”
The meeting is scheduled to be held at Lagos House Ikeja on December 18, 2024, with the theme: “Data & Technology Driven Security: The Way Forward.”
“On the agenda is the presentation of patrol vehicles and other equipment to security operatives,” the commissioner said.
He said the Lagos State Security Trust Fund Executive Secretary, Rasaq Balogun, would render an account of his stewardship with other security chiefs expected to also speak at the meeting.
The Security Trust Fund was established in 2007 to combat violent crimes, especially bank robberies, Omotoso said, adding, “To the credit of the Trust Fund, there has been no incident of bank robbery in the state in the last five years.”
