Teacher Arrested For Physically Abusing 3-Year-Old Pupil
Lagos State Government through its Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency has confirmed the arrest of a teacher captured in a viral video physically abusing a 3-year-old pupil.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the government expressed gratitude to concerned citizens who reported the case and reaffirmed its commitment to child safety in educational institutions.
The incident, which aroused public outrage, was swiftly acted upon by the Owutu Family Support Unit (FSU), where an investigation is now underway.
The State Government also emphasized its zero-tolerance policy for abuse.
“Schools should be safe, warm, and protective environments for all children in their care. We will continue to enforce strict regulations and hold offenders accountable,” the statement read.
It further called on stakeholders to collaborate in safeguarding children.
