ANSEC Approves Development of Publications of Anambra State Laws
Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC) has approved the development and publication of the electronic database of revised Anambra State laws.
This decision was taken at the Council's general meeting on Tuesday, where other important issues were considered and contracts also awarded.
According to the State's Commissioner for Information, Law Mefor, ANSEC has applauded Governor Soludo for the launch of the Anambra Geographic Information Service (ANAMGIS), a significant milestone in the state's efforts to modernise land administration.
ANAMGIS provides an automated land authentication and certification system, making it easier for the people of Anambra to access land services.
This milestone signposts Governor Soludo's pragmatic approach to innovation in his laudable performance in governance and ongoing infrastructural and transformation agenda in making Anambra a destination for the benefit of the people.
This comes as Governor Soludo's administration approaches its third anniversary on 17th March 2025, and the Council noted that the week-long celebrations will feature the commissioning of major projects, including those in Okpoko, in Ogbaru Local Government Area.
Soludo's urban regeneration drive has transformed Okpoko, once the largest urban slum in east of the Niger into a model of urban development.
The governor has also commenced the construction of the ongoing 10.6km road project along the Uga-Oty-Obizi and Uga-Nkpologwu roads in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.
This is part of the awarded 46.9km road network, with 36.3km already completed, which connects different communities.
Earlier, Governor Soludo transformed Ekwulobia, one of the major towns in Anambra State, into a cosmopolitan city with modern infrastructure as part of his government's transformation initiative.
